Frances M. Amatucci

Dr. Frances M. Amatucci is an Associate Professor at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania, U.S.A. She also holds positions as a Part-Time Lecturer at the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh and Adjunct Professor at the Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University. She was an Associate Professor of International and SME Enterprise and Director of Graduate Business Studies in the Faculty of Business at the University of New Brunswick/Saint John in Canada.

Dr. Amatucci is a strong advocate of field-based and experiential learning in business education. She teaches courses related to strategic management, international business, leadership and entrepreneurship. She is a certified FastTrac-New Venture facilitator and has worked with women entrepreneurs through the Center for Women's Entrepreneurship at Chatham University. She has taught courses outside the United States in Canada, Russia, Denmark, and France.

Her research interests include women and minority-owned businesses, entrepreneurship finance, social entrepreneurship, and sustainability. She has published in peer-reviewed academic journals and has numerous conference proceedings including the International Council of Small Business, International Association of Business and Society and the Strategic Management Society.

Dr. Amatucci was the Founder and Executive Director of the Small Business Institute at Salem State College. She served on the Board of Directors of the U. S. Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) in various capacities for several years, and is currently on the Board of Governors of the Eastern Academy of Management.

She received an M.B.A. and Ph.D. from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh and a B.S. in business administration from the University of Massachusetts in Boston.
